Boring movie with NO script… don’t waste your time

I haven’t seen this movie but I just realized that combing through the comment section is quite entertaining and extremely eye opening. Hollywood isn’t even hiding the pandering and propaganda at this point. Men and Woman (because there is only two types of plumbing downstairs) either like or hate movies now, there seems to be no middle ground. If you don’t like this humor then don’t watch it! Save the comment section from your anti male nagging nonsense. I’m going to watch this movie and comment with my thoughts. Least it isn’t a re-boot with an all + 50 year old female cast where they are beating the crap out of henchmen left and right. I hope this triggers the dickens out of you :)

this is not a comedy. it is not a drama. it is a boring you tube movie.

Sean Baker is known for depicting the troubling parts of modern America and its people. Red Rocket is another addition to his filmography. While it’s not his best work, it still has a lot to offer. Simon Rex deserves some recognition for his performance because he was perfect. You need to watch Sean Baker’s other films before you watch this, and if you don’t like his other movies, then don’t bother with this.

As a 26 year old man, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, and yes, Simon Rex’s character was absolutely despicable. The reason that I bring my age into account is because I believe this to be a film for younger people. My generation grew up with drugs and online porn, so I can honestly say Sean Baker is speaking for a generation here. I only give this 4 stars because I’m aware that these types of films can be offensive for more conservative viewers. In other words, this isn’t one you sit and watch with gam gams.

What is this film trying to say? And WHY is this a comedy exactly? The main character is a terrible person, why is this to be glorified in film? The redhead is the BEST part of the movie, a great acting job by her. I don't get why I'm watching a movie about some jerk that isn't funny. How is this an 88% Tomatometer? Indicative of what's wrong with our culture today that this type of crap is considered high quality.

Although acting was good, the film misses story. Waste of time.

This film absolutely blew me away. The story and the characters are so wild, unpredictable and entertaining. The writing, directing, acting and cinematography are all across the board perfection. Sean Baker has created another instant masterpiece you’ll never forget and immediately want to watch again and again. 🍩🚲🚀🍓
