Loved her with Kevin Kline ( where has he been)
Why is everyone so much into blood & guts,
Fantasy? I do not need to laugh all the time, nor
Cry, but I like to feel. By the way you folks who
Make the $, try another real film with a Kline &
Ryan. You might be surprised how many folks
Are hungry for a real good film & we will pay &
Can pay. How about a movie closer to their age
& our age. I am just tired of the “drivel”
Naïve Love Story

I saw this movie at the theatres in early 1999 - I thought it was ok. Highlights are the scenes between Hanks and Ryan, at the coffee shop and at her apartment. Overall, a naive movie for who blindly believes in romantic stories.

About that slow moving. At what point did “chick flicks” become “rom-coms”? Right about here.

A great depiction of love in New York in all 4 seasons. My favorite movie to snuggle on the couch and watch with my cats.

I don't think another film (okay, within the last 20yrs) gives the Rom-Com genra a better name. The chemistry, the setting, the dialogue, and the pace gives the film my complete 5-stars rating, and the Greatest Of All Time. It just never gets old. Brilliant by Ephron and the cast.
I love this movie...the dymanics between hanks and ryan is uncanny. I am a New Yorker and the film gives a great comedic romance feature to living in Manhattan. Don't rent, buy!
