Like Crazy

It’s so boring.

Watching this reminded me of a long distant relationship I was in, the issues with traveling, integration with friends, the life back home etc. its never quite the same as it was when it started! This is were the movie got it right, depressingly so! I know its an indie movie with a lots of improvisation but i guess it just bordered on uncomfortable at times and awkward pauses, wasnt a fan of that and converations just seemed so shallow because of that! oh well

A great movie about how life/love can be sweet and sad at the same time. Overcoming obstacles is the theme of this movie. However, there is pain in both the waiting and wading through those obstacles. In the end one has to face the repercussions of bad decisions and the inability to be patient in the waiting. A very thought provoking movie about love, impatience, and an inability to put priorities in the right order. Great acting, and directing. You either get this movie, or not. Watch and decide for yourself. Don't let the bad reviews sway you.

If I had to look at one more of his ugly uncomfortable chairs ! I give myself 5 stars for sitting through the most boring movie ever !

The thing that makes Like Crazy stand out in this category is that it is not a "fake," sappy, generic romance film. The ending could have been less ambiguous, but it is supposed to be like that to not seem "rigged" and "clichéd." It is among the more realistic romance film in a long time. The chemistry was so above average that it actually makes one give a quack on these fictional characters and their issues. Like Crazy accurately show what you have to give up for a long distance relationship. Even when tensions rise with you lover. I will say that it is hard to hear at times. They whisper so much you have to struggle to hear(So use subtitles!). But it shows it is realistic enough to not talk so loudly to someone sitting right next to you. In case iTunes is listening PLEASE ADD ITUNES EXTRAS!!! I WOULD VERY MUCH APPRECIATE IT!

This film is beautiful and it is REAL. If you have experienced love than this is so accurate to what it really is. Don't expect a happy ending expect reality. One of my favorite Indie films of all time and I love all of the actors that took part in this.

this is definitely my favorite movie. it's original, has unique filming types, has a great story line, and tells the story that portrays to anybody, single people and couples, that it is inevitable that there will be problems along the way (both in relationships and in any other circumstance) but as long as you keep pushing through and put in effort, nothing is impossible. the only issue I have with the movie is there's no official way to tell how much time has passed in between each encounter. you just have to pay attention to their phones and haircuts and outfits to try to create a timeline. but that by no means ruins the movie.

I assign this movie as one of the weekly viewing requirements I give my cinematography students. I just happened to come around iTunes to actually buy it so to have it at hand on demand…and saw some of these reviews. It’s interesting to see the ratings are mostly at one extreme or the other. Then one reviewer hit on something that I think explains it best. The scene in the restaurant where there is a pillar dividing them between shots — either you get that and you love the movie, or you don’t get it and you hate the movie. This movie is chock-full of visual metaphor. It’s art. That’s why I assign it to my cinematography students. Its cinematography and editing are brilliant. Different is hard for people who are looking for the typical escapist experience to stomach. It rubs up against their expectations in an irritating way. However, the cinematography and editing serve the story perfectly, and that’s why it’s brilliant, and why some people love the movie. For my money I would put this movie up against Lost in Translation any day.

I don’t really know why, but I can’t ever stop watching this movie. I’ve seen it at least thirty times in the last year and it still hasn’t gotten old. I think that the reason that this movie is so good is that the chemistry between Anton Yelchin (Jacob) and Felicity Jones (Anna) is so believable and real, and the movie is filmed in such a ‘real’ way that it just doesn’t seem like a movie, but like you are actually following this couple around. The soundtrack is amazing as well, and really does make the movie. I do wish that the movie ended on a happier, more hopeful note, but I love it nonetheless.

Saw this movie probably 6 times on Netflix, love it so much! Buying it now so I'll always have it!
