    I had purchased this movie years ago and was very disappointed that it came out 4:3 or pan & scan version. So I deleted the old version and relooked it up in my hidden movies area and unhind it. I basically redownloaded it. It came out widescreen. No more zooming or cropping the tv screen to fit the format. The movie is still one of my favorites. Thanks ITunes for getting it right the second time..

    There is a little creative licensing done by the story tellers but the tension and the feel of just how close the U.S. and Soviet Union came to nuclear war in 1962 is told here in remarkable fashion. Amazing performances by the whole cast, the costuming is spot on. If you're a fan of history, it's a must watch film.

    I purchased this movie years ago in iTunes, and was always annoyed that it was inexplicably 4:3 Pan & Scan format. Today I fired it up to discover that Apple has finally resolved this issue, and it is now playing in 16:9 widescreen format!

    Love this movie, but incredibly irritating that's it's 4:3. Hopefully iTunes will get a widescreen file in the future. Pan and Scan is a distraction when watching this film.
