Description

A young couple find themselves face-to-face against a terrifying evil when they venture into the heart of Bigfoot country in WILLOW CREEK, director Bobcat Goldthwait’s (God Bless America, World’s Greatest Dad) unique spin on the horror genre. Looking to make a splash online with his research videos into the existence of Bigfoot, Jim (Bryce Johnson, Pretty Little Liars) and his girlfriend Kelly take a camping trip to the small town of Willow Creek, California, and the surrounding mountains where the infamous footage of the supposed sasquatch was filmed. But before long the headstrong couple gets lost in the woods and discovers that someone – or something – is stalking them. With each night bringing with it unknowable dangers, the two must now use all of their cunning to try to make it out of the forest alive.

Give this film some time to get there...you'll be rewarded. It does take a while to get to the "good" stuff, and can seem a little too talk-y but I found the slow build enjoyable. The last act of the movie is thrilling. It's definitely worth the rent.
  • Worth it if you're bored and can't sleep.

Super boring in the first while - fun stories I suppose but nothing really worth it. However, it did scare me a few more times than I expected it to. Wish there was more Bigfoot footage and less of the couple but I'd recommend this movie if you don't have anything else to watch.

It was cool because I'm from the Willow Creek, CA area. It was cool seeing the town and wilderness near where I grew up. And the film was just as slow as the town I remember.

2 idiots + Big Foot = stupid movie. The characters and the plot are horrible. No one in their right mind would go into the Trinity Alps (or any other mountain range) with a GPS, compass, or a map at least. Oh and to look for Big Foot...without anything to defend yourself because you just know he is going to be happy to see you and friendly. Unbelievably stupid, just like the morons who rated this one at 86%. Don't waste your time or money!
  • One funny scene, one scary scene...the end

Skip ahead to the bigfoot mural scene (funny), then the tent scene (scarey) later in the movie. You can avoid an awful lot of annoyance. Although, I suspect the male lead might have been spot on with his presentaiton of a bigfoot enthusiast. The female lead was well done.
  • Scary? Scary how?!

I ereally don't understand why the Rotten Tomatoes rating for this movie is so high...NOTHING happened at all throughout this movie that was scary. The ending was confusing as well and really got me mad. Just skip it.
  • I liked it!

I like the director. God Bless America is an amazing movie. This one is no different. Sure it may be slow, but I don't understand the hate I've seen. If you liked Blair Witch, you'll enjoy this. In fact, it's not even as slow as the Blair Witch. The ending gave me chills. The only reason I docked it a star is because one scene in the movie was basically verbatim from the Blair Witch. Anywho tho, don't listen to the hate. I didn't expect much because of the user reviews but ended up being surprised. Cool movie!
