The whole movie was nothing but hand written and realistic acting it almost felt like you were there with them and the acting was ok but definitely gave out a acting like they where inside Area 51. This is a favorite.

Average, much better out there. Story was stale and predictable and uneventful

While the last 30 minutes of the film are filled with continious running from unrealistic aliens, that is the best part. The rest of the movie is filled with a boring plot story that takes too long to establish a rather bland storyline. Don't buy it or rent save your coins.
It earns that 17% on rotten tomatoes

This sucked. Slow, poorly constructed and acted, and anticlimactic. The characters are throwaways, the story line and premis is an injustice to the conspiracy of Area 51. And if you're looking for an excellent alien movie I recommend SkinWalker Ranch, Alien (of course) and The Signal (this one has one of my favorite scenes in cinema).
Waste of Time

Don't waste your time on this movie. The self shot type of filming was hard to watch, it makes you feel sick with all the bouncing and it wasn't that interesting.
Terrible waste of my money

The fact that I spent $15 on this movie hurts infinitely more than the thought of me possibly being abducted by aliens.

I'm glad I went ahead and watched this despite the negative reviews. I really enjoyed it. The movie has suspense, an hint of mystery, and it's not in-your-face gory. One of the better horror movies in my opinion.
This should've been a good movie

It could have been a pretty interesting concept, but for it being a 90-minute runtime, it takes the first 70 minutes to give the audience exposition, and only then presents the "horror" genre aspect of it within the last 20 minutes. I don't understand why so many found footage films are taking this kind of approach. If you want your movie to work, you need to find a good balance between exposition and scary imagery that will shock the viewer, but obviously Oren Peli, somehow having lost his Paranormal Activity spark from post-2007, doesn't know how to mesh the two anymore. Such an unfortunate comedown from a director of a previous terrifying film.
