Adventure Time, Vol. 9

Season 5 & 6 had a lot of meh. But near the end of season 6 the episodes seemed to escape that and here confirms that! Season 7 has a heck of a lot going on right now and episodes are really fun to watch and are now progressing the story faster now!

Biggest complaint: I removed stars because two episodes "Broke his Crown/Don't Look" are formatted incorrectly or something, it wants me to pay for them separately despite them clearly being a part of Vol. 9 (and I bought the season pass). I buy Adventure Time volumes in SD so they will work on my old iPod and when I tried to download "Broke his Crown/Don't Look" to my PC iTunes library it downloaded to the PC but each time I tried adding it to my iPod it claimed the episode was in HD and is incompatible. On my iPad Air it won't even acknowledge I own these two episodes and is asking for more money for them. PLEASE PLEASE iTunes fix this issue! I'm concerned about ever buying another season pass in case another episode they put up encounters the same problem. As for a review: I'm loving this season ^_^ After Finn's teenage angst calmed down Adventure Time got fun again and I'm enjoying it more like the first four seasons. I rated it lower cos iTunes does their best to divide seasons up to increase their profits - this season had a cool side plot/miniseries for several episodes called "Stakes" about Marceline trying to be human and on iTunes it's sold separately ("Stakes" is also sold separately on Amazon Instant Video as of 06/15/16). You should consider the extra cost of purchasing "Adventure Time: Stakes" which is just eight episodes (packaged as four). Then the formatting issue in Vol.9 if you want the SD version (so far affecting two episodes "Broke his Crown/Don't Look"), and another formatting issue with the "Stakes" season pass all episodes are listed under "no season" so you'll have trouble watching them in the order they aired. Adventure Time is one of my favorite shows so I'm still buying it even tho there have been some issues with iTunes. Personally I'm concerned about buying season passes on iTunes in future after they ignored my comments about the missing episodes.

Adventure Time is a show that has stayed consistently excellent. This half-season presents a sort of return to form following the multi-part epic with the comet. Finn and Jake are going on adventures again. Finn is maturing and learning what it truly means to be a hero. We learn more about PB’s past and her relationship with Marceline. BMO is given time to shine with his own origin story. The duality of the Ice King/Simon is also explored to great depths. The plot has become pretty complex now - newcomers will likely be confused by the many references to past events. The animation and voice acting is better than it’s ever been. How this show manages to remain so thoughtful and funny is beyond me. It’s been years since I discovered this show and I’m still in love with it.

Best show ever. BUT- Where the heck are the last few episodes of the season? There have been 3 episodes now that haven’t been released on iTunes and it’s making me bonkers! I like in the sticks and don’t have regular TV or high speed internet at home; I rely on downloading AT in town and watching at home. WHERE ARE THE NEW EPISODES!

Adventure Time is great; there's no way around that. The way these episodes are sold, however, is a joke. You pay full price for a "season pass," only to find that you're actually getting a chopped up segment of a season, the size of which seems to shrink with every new release; you used to get 20+ episodes, now you're lucky to get 10. Just buy the box sets and avoid getting ripped off.

As an adult, I'd never thought I'd say this show which is intended for kids, is one of my favorites. Hilarious and very unique!

I used to think this show was so awesome and fun but ever since Finn is having cosmic dreams that ruin his relationships and learning that he's Jesus,the show has started to descend into obscurity

I love this show, but an entire arc (Stakes), released other places, is missing! A waste of money at this point, and disappointing.

The episodes are great, but they are tagged incorrectly so they show up as “No Season” in iTunes. Also, the episode “Football” is not available.
