A great legacy has just been passed on. Thank you Peter for everything and welcome aboard Jodie. A doctor who must see. Also, in the description for one of the extras, they seem to have spelled "assess" incorrectly...

Twice Upon a Time is Peter Capaldi's graceful bow out of Doctor Who, filled with humor and plot, if you are sort of gushy like me, you might just cry. I also love the flashback to some of those first episodes of Doctor Who. I recommend this highly.
  • Excited for the future!

I liked this episode. Previously, my favorite Doctor Who Christmas special was Titanic. Seems morbid because almost everyone dies in the end. But I just love seeing the doctor stuck with a bunch of people, and how they work together to survive... almost. Midnight and even Planet of the Dead are both great examples of this. But this was the kind of Christmas Story where, the "villains" aren't really malicious. I loved the fact that they brought the first doctor back for this episode. Although most of the jokes are "It's 2017 grandpa, don't say stuff like that" I don't quite understand the point of why the Doctor went to Scaro... unless, Rusty brought them there. idk. But it had a really sweet ending which really brought the whole "this is Christmas" thing to a close. The 1st Doctor Regenerates. And the 12th Doctor Regenerates. I am really excited for Jodi Wittaker! Like Tennant turning into Matt Smith, a lot of things are changing for doctor who! New companion, new show-runner, new doctor, new tardis. And I wouldnt be surprised if they made the jump from HD to 4K.... probably not. But it seems interesting that Jodi Whittaker, David Bradly, and David Tennant who are all part of Doctor Who was also part of Broadchurch. And now, Broadchurch is coming to Doctor Who. Knowing them, they will get the guy who played Dean Thomas (Alfred Enoch) to be the companion. Anyway. I am really excited. I loved Cipaldi as the Doctor. Season 9 was the best. Season 8 got pretty dark, they didn't know what direction to take him. And season 10.... frankly, they all felt like they were phoning it in. The 2 who played The Master/Mistress especially. Their final scene felt so awkward.
  • Goodbye Peter Capaldi! Wish we had more time with you:(

I'm sad to see Peter Capaldi leave. But he couldn't have had a better ending. Just wish he could have had one more season. I also hope they keep the show kid friendly. And keep it science time travel and explore different worlds too. The writters move away from that in the past seasons. Making more about who is dating who. And that just got old fast. And I had to prewatch each show to make sure my child could watch it. Didn't have to worry about those things with the Classic Doctor Who.
  • Great episode.

I’d been hoping to see the First Doctor back in action since seeing the special documentary with him. Good enemy too. #NoSpoilers I was mad that the show wasn’t available on Christmas as advertised. Still a good show.
  • Not one of the best regeneration stories.

i found this good-bye to Peter Capaldi to be a disappointment. Yes, the merging of Doctor images from the 1960s and 2010s was technically impressive. The bubble montage to previous Doctors was nice but scattered. As a tribute to his companions, there was not enough Clara and too much Phil (one of the modern Doctor's most annoying companions. The whole concept of the story is that it's OK to let go and let then next in like take over. A concept that could have taken 10 min. to tell. The episode was bloated by efftects that added little to the story. There was one layer of filler on top of even more filler. Not one of the best good-bye a Doctor has had.
  • Interesting Finale- says "To be Continued"

Seeing as production is yet to officially begin on series 11, don't expect Doctor Who to return until the second half of 2018. Would enjoy seeing more potentially valid Physics detail in the new season -Dont need another dumb juvinile sitcom
  • Omg!

All of the negative reviews are about the fact that it wasn’t released on Christmas. Not at all regarding the quality of the episode! It’s quite unfair to rate the episode so low when you fools just didn’t understand the way iTunes works. The episode was great, by the way. Fantastic.
