Some T.V. shows just transport you back in time to when you were little. This series was many such series in this time frame that broke open a whole new world of SCIFI for us all, it helped us dream bigger “No Pun Intended” than we ever had. I watch this series now and laugh at the huge giant had reaching for one of the little people, I get a giggle out of the store line and dialog. Sure its quaint now, but back in the day this was something to behold. I would purchase this for two reasons, one it is a homage to those who made todays SCIFI possible, two it never hurts to look back upon our self and laugh at who we were.

As with most of the shows you loved when you were a kid, the memories are always of a better show than it actually was. The words that ran through my mind while I was watching the pilot were "Lost In Space". All in all, not too bad - but I for one am glad I didn't fork out for the whole series on DVD!
  • Irwin Allen at his best

I know, they are dated and childish...but they were part of my childhood and before digital effects Allen produced some great magic for the early tv sci-fi fan. In every case, Allen's show's took a comical and kiddie show route but hey were fun. Billed as the most expensice tv show at the time, Land of the Giants took a premise of little people struggling to survive in a land of giants not very unlike Earth. Enjoy them for what they are, good fun!
  • First episode is the best!

"Land of the Giants" had a great premise--and the first episode is among the best of the series. Especially the sequence when they first realize they might not be on Earth! The special effects work is great--in particular the split screens and force perspective shots--incredible for 1960's television (or movies!)
  • Alot of fun - for awhile

I'm a LOG fan - and a big collector of all memorabilia I can find related to the show. The premise as dreamt up by Irwin Allen continues to fascinate me - what would it be like to be six inches tall? How would you survive? and is this not the COOLEST spaceship in the history of TV? BUT - and this is a big BUT - the premise wears out after just a few episodes. The pilot is a classic - but the ideas ran out very quickly. However, it's a fun "chase-of-the-week" sci-fi series...and had the coolest metal lunchbox ever!

Thank you Apple and Fox for bringing this awesome classic to the iTunes store. I loved this show as a kid and the DVD is only available as an import, but now I can download and enjoy at anytime! Please make season two available as well. Classis SciFi viewers rejoice!

I don't mind the 50s low tech sets and props. I don't even mind the stereotypical characters. In fact these things possess a certain charm. However, these are the stupidest people imaginable. I mean, if there's a truly stupid choice that can be made, you can count on these folks to make that choice. I guess with the right attitude the viewer could have some fun with this. But geez!

Irwin Allen just did the best stuff for kids. He followed his successful "Lost In Space" with this show. My only complaint is I dont seem to be able to copy these shows to DVD, which will keep me from buying a lot of them. buddyboy12

Finally it is here! Thank you iTunes!!!!!! I was begining to think that this was a lost memory. When I was a little girl I would watch the SciFi channel at my grandma's house... my favorites were Land of The Giants, Lost in Space, Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, and of course Alfred Hitchcock Presents. I have been waiting for someone to release these episodes or air them on TV again and here it is along with almost all of my other favorites.
