I vividly remember not being to wait for the next Land of the Giants episode as a kid. This episode really struck me as possessing a very nice mix of emotion and science fiction. Clearly this is dated when compared to the visual effects of today, but you can't help getting wrapped up in the plot lines and episode stories. Reminiscent of other contemporary series like LOST, marooned travellers in a strange place are dealing with the trials and tribulations of getting by and living day-to-day.

You have to love a show like this from the 60s. It's chock full of campy stories and the props are hilarious - just watch and see how many times the same giant spool of thread shows up or the same gigantic hand prop is used. The plots are great too, you realize just how often in situations like these a boy and his dog or a paranoid guy with a crazy accent can cause problems for everyone else. This is a great treat to find on iTunes, especially given the crazy high price of the DVDs!

This show is just fun...try not to make it anything more...it is just fun! Season Two, as with most Irwin Allen series brings in more campy storylines and unexplained changes. Again, try not to bog yourself down with such items and go with the flow. Said to be one of the most expensive shows on TV for its time (remember this was 1969), Allen could always produce a show that was colorful and action packed, so what if the storylines were often weird, it was a happy part of my childhood. The best highlight of season two, guest star Jonathan Harris (Dr. Smith) as the Piper...love it!
  • Awesome! Season 2 is here!

This show is so incredibly fun and entertaining. The second season was even weireder than the first in a cool scifi way. The theme by John Williams is even better this time around. This show is truly a gem. Anyone interested in checking it out should not hesitate to download and give it a try.
