Description

Preppers come in all shapes and sizes - men and women, young and old, they live and work like most Americans. But their ultimate goal in life is preparing for the end. While stockpiles of food and weapons may seem over the top preparations to some, for doomsday preppers they represent basic responsibility and peace of mind. They will go to whatever lengths deemed necessary to make sure they are prepared if basic services should falter, and chaos and violence become the order of the day.

This show blows. They interviewed a paranoid 15 year old kid! The only thing I got out of it was a good laugh.

It may be more wise now than ever due to the 2012 election result.

I wouldn't define myself as a "prepper", but there certainly is a need to be prepared. Events such as Hurricane Sandy or Katrina clearly demonstrate that more people need to give thought to how they would take care of themselves in the event of a disaster. I don't live in hurricane country, but I have prepared for wildfires and home invasion. This show goes to extremes in showcasing the edge cases of prepared people. I would much prefer if National Geographic would produce a show that was actually educational, and taught people how to prepare for real, aka more likely, situations. Am I Nuts or Are You was just dumb TV on the level of that portrayed in the movie, "Idiocracy." Your time is better spent taking an EMT class, and your money is better spent on buying jumper cables for your car.
  • I don't need to see this

I will laugh at all of these doomsday preppers on the morning of December 22, 2012. There is no end of the world.
  • Good luck

I think these people will die of something mundane yet unexpected to them before whatever doomsday comes. For example, diabetes for Big Al.
  • Definitely an interesting topic for a show!
