Description

Led by disgruntled Dr. Jenna James (Laurie Metcalf), the staff in Season 1 includes no-nonsense newbie Nurse Didi (Niecy Nash), unit veteran Nurse Dawn (Alex Borstein), who obsesses over her budding relationship with male Supervising Nurse Patsy (Mel Rodriguez)--a new hire who tries to implement a Disney-inspired, customer-centric work culture, while fending off questions about his sexual orientation.

Best snarky cynical show ever! Love the blame games, because it's all so real! All the actors did a fantastic job! Can't wait for Season 2!
  • Great acting, great comedy

Laurie Metcalfe nails it with a character we’ve never seen, a pompous wing nut of a staff doctor. Niecey Nash is low-key and full of heart in her role as the new nurse on the floor.
  • Acting, dialogue, story lines — all superb!

So happy this show got a second season. And hopefully it’ll be a FULL season, not just six episodes. Season one was so smartly funny — a dark comedy at it’s best — that six episodes was way, way too short. Every actor in the ensemble is terrific and blends well, but Laurie Metcalfe might just stand out a bit as one of the funniest people currently on television. LOVE this show!
  • Bitingly sarcastic and rip-roaring funny!

This show needs a second series. It is dark comedy at its best. You will not stop laughing. Excellent group of actors. If you want a good, hearty laugh, watch “Getting On.” Highly recommended.

Such good acting, this is a superb series, not for the faint of heart , it is the geriatric department but the interaction between the actors is hilarious, I watched all 6 episodes in 2 sittings. Too bad there is only 6 episodes...
