Demonic

I appreciate what they were going for and the ideas behind the simulation (and the real world tech that made that possible), but the pacing is pretty bad and they went cheap on two of the three things that would make this movie awesome, the demon and Vatican Special Ops. More of both of those with a better script would’ve made this a solid B movie. As it is, I can’t really recommend it beyond seeing what you can do with volumetric video capture.

I’m a huge Neill Blomkamp fan. I remember watching District 9 when it first came out IN THEATRES. Loved it cause of the aliens and si-fi feel. Elysium was awesome, then chappie was cool! I was so excited for this one honestly and I found myself dozing off, falling asleep to most of it. It’s boring and just not so much going on. I’m horribly disappointed in this movie. Heard they’re working on District 10 finally. I hope it’s good. Just don’t make another horror movie!

It’s very obvious that his writing partner sat this one out. This movie is unbelievably bad.

Pretty great flick for such a low budget

Man this thing let me down big time! I spent a lot of time watching movies in my free time. And Neil bloomkamp has executed 3 for 3 perfectly! This being his 4th entry and a new take in horror it was a BIG letdown. I mean he made district 9, Elysium, and chappie! All those were good. This one was a joke! You know… it would’ve been passable IF he woulda actually made something with “the black ops priest unit”, instead it was just all dialogue.
