  • A miss.

Feel like this was a miss, I would’ve loved to see this in 2018 when it would’ve been given the true flair of crossfit docs. Felt a lot was missing from it. Rarely much about the leaders domination with Mat and Tia during the events. To show how much they went through. Felt off.
  • Slightly disappointing

This is probably the worst CrossFit documentary. I hate to say that because I wanted to love it, but its so fast paced, and it lacks all the emotion and depth the other ones have. Not sure what went wrong here

These days we are blessed with any number of movies and shows about professional sports whose entertainment value transcends being either a practitioner or a fan. Never driven a race car? Drive to Survive is still compelling. Not a rock climber? Free Solo will have you on the edge of your seat. But this is most definitely NOT one of those movies, and I'm not entirely sure why. Maybe its the filmmaker's fault. Maybe its thats lifting heavy things repeatedly and riding bikes doesn't translate well as sporting drama. But I suspect it's because everyone involved, in front of and behind the camera, radiates a peculiar exclusivity. The movie doesn't transcend its subculture because it and the people in it have no interest in doing so. This is for them, and them only. Which is fine for a club, but it's a bummer of a way to make a movie. So if you're part of the choir, come and be preached to. If not... try the Alpinist. Ten times the drama, none of the arrogance.

This movie just isn’t a good movie. It lacked emotion and depth and failed to capture some of the other stories that were going on during that’s years games.

If you’re a fan of CrossFit or even just CrossFit documentaries - you don’t want to miss this. It’s a great look back at “the lost year” of 2018 and a chance to meet its standouts and characters.
