Description

In 2022 a new mastermind entered the arena to craft the tests for the Fittest on Earth. Longtime CrossFit Games Head Judge and Seminar Staff Flowmaster Adrian Bozman’s approach to programming the CrossFit Games brought the sport’s top athletes back to the basics while challenging them to develop new skills. Tia-Clair Toomey vied for an unprecedented sixth title while rumors of retirement swirled and Mal O’Brien continued to rise. Meanwhile, 2021 Fittest Man on Earth Justin Medeiros worked to defend his title against determined competitors such as Roman Khrennikov — a multiyear qualifier who had yet to step onto the Games competition floor — and Ricky Garard, newly returned from a four-year ban for violating CrossFit’s drug policy. In “Fittest on Earth: Retro/Active,” watch as athletes face familiar movements with new twists, some thriving and others learning the hard way to begin anew with the basics, this time paying more attention.

I thought this was an awesome comedy and soon realized that it wasn’t a comedy. As a non comedy, this film is awesomely sad…and very bad, but then again so is CrossFit. 🤣🤣🤣

Disappointing. Missed so many stories outside of the top 3 finishers. Need to be done by buttery bros again. Enough of this fake media crap

This documentary did a fantastic job about telling the story of the games! Brought some very cool insight of things that happened thatching would have no idea about if it weren’t for the this movie. Very well done. Went through all the emotions watching! So worth the watch, as a fan of the sport I loved every second and wish there was more! (Please release the full interviews the people want to see)
  • Missed out on most of the biggest/best moments

No: Rebecca’s Fuselier at the Capitol (epic moment) Dani Speagle or Jackie Dahlstrom on the sandbags Brooke Wells crazy comb back after injury Danielle Brandon at all (who was almost on the podium) Emma Lawson being the youngest person to wear the leader’s jersey Nick Matthew being the only one who killed the crossover double unders Alexis Raptis demolishing the wall facing handstand push up workout Brent Fikowsi at all Noah ohlsen getting spirit of the games Jeffrey Adler killing events like the shuttle to overhead or Ellie Turner killing that wall ball snatch workout. So sad that so many of the most memorable, amazing, capturing, momentous, jaw dropping things that happened last year aren’t even hinted at.

Rent this on sale. This one totally missed the mark for us. I think the biggest letdown was the lack of diversity of people interviewed/followed and the feeling like this was a rushed production. It just felt poorly made. What was great about previous films was the story of other athletes outside the top 3 and the behind the scenes. And how did they cut out Danny Spiegel winning the sandbag event?!
  • The best one yet!
